The South West RDA's role

Innovation is the key business process that enables UK businesses to compete effectively in the global market. The Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills is working to stimulate a significant increase in innovation throughout the economy. 
 
Innovation is one of the priority themes identified by the South West of England Regional Development Agency.  
 
The South West RDA's role in encouraging innovation is a mixture of direct delivery and influencing the strategies, policies and actions of a wide range of other organisations. Our main aim is to ensure that the innovation agenda is fully recognised throughout the region. We will:
