Partners for England

Partners for England is a collaborative initiative owned by public and private stakeholders with an interest in the prosperity of England's visitor economy. The initiative places a strong emphasis on the national, regional, sub-regional and local tourism interface and the pursuit of economies of scale. The objective is to create a shared sense of purpose through agreeing a core set of priorities for joint action and delivery. The initiative was borne out of three ground breaking summits which took place in 2005 and 2006.

Due to the success of the summits, the Partners for England Forum was created in 2007. It meets bi-annually with the remit of securing real engagement on the key issues facing the English tourism industry. The Forum:

Partners for England have identified key priorities for specific action including leadership, intelligence, marketing and engagement at all levels through a Place Making Charter.

South West RDA plays a leading role in Partners for England and is represented on the Steering Group which provides leadership to the initiative and the Forum.
