South West Regional Development Agency

In establishing the plans for Littlecombe the development team have considered a range of elements to ensure a flagship development that is environmentally sustainable and integrated with the existing communities of Cam and Dursley. 
 
The plan aims to establish a complementary mix of employment, residential and community uses.

• 600 houses
• Accommodation for 1000 job opportunities
• New transport links
• Open up the river Ewelme/Cam and the creation of an ecological corridor

The plan does not include detailed designs of buildings but establishes the layout of key zones for development, identifies different uses, and fixes roads, walkways, cycle routes and public spaces. 
 
The proposals were put on public display in September 2003 at which over 450 people commented on the plans in a public consultation event.
